Tug assistance for Neopanamax vessels navigating under Bridge of Americas

With the purpose of promoting navigational safety in the channel entrances of the Canal, effective immediately, the Panama Canal will be requiring an escort tug for all Neopanamax vessels while navigating under the Bridge of the Americas.

This includes Neopanamax vessels docking and undocking from any terminal in Balboa harbor area. In the case of harbor movements, any additional cost associated with the tug escort assistance, shall be covered by the vessel.

This measure will remain in effect until further notice.
