Marine site investigation in Shing Mun River, Shatin

For approximately 2 months, marine site investigation works involving drilling of boreholes and condition survey [are being] carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shorelines:
(A) 22 deg. 23.511’N / 114 deg. 12.124’E
(B) 22 deg. 23.507’N / 114 deg. 12.129’E
(C) 22 deg. 23.465’N / 114 deg. 12.091’E
(D) 22 deg. 23.470’N / 114 deg. 12.085’E

The works [are being] carried out by one jack-up barge. One work boat will provide assistance.

Yellow flashing lights [are] installed at the four corners of the jack-up barge to indicate its position.

The hours of work [are] from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works [are being] carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
