Shipping movements returning to normal

04 Jul 2025 / New South Wales, Australia

As the severe weather that impacted ports in New South Wales eases, shipping movements are returning to normal.

At Newcastle, the first movement took place at 09:00am local time today (4 July). The port is basically back to normal, although official advice has not yet been received.

Movements are also back to normal at Port Kembla for now.

At Sydney and Port Botany, conditions have eased, allowing pilotage to resume as normal. Vessel movements are being handled on a case-by-case basis and continuing as planned.
