Equipped with profound understanding of boats and extensive experience and resources, GAC Pindar has what it takes to deliver the delicate boats and equipment of the Extreme Sailing Series.

Singapore’s Marina Bay area is alive with activity ahead of Act 1 of this year’s Extreme Sailing Series, following the arrival of Extreme 40 boats and supporting infrastructure including the Extreme Race Village, media centre, race support centre and Extreme Club (VIP area).  The transportation of the 22 containers, weighing in at about 155 tonnes, from Sydney, Australia, to the venue has been undertaken by the Series’ official logistics provider, GAC Pindar, working closely with GAC Events Asia in Singapore.

Act 1 of the Extreme Sailing Series takes place from 5 to 8 February. As official logistics provider, GAC Pindar is responsible for all aspects of the logistics of the global series, which spans multiple locations around the world throughout the year.

Among the Extreme Sailing Series teams competing in Singapore is Team GAC Pindar’s all-Australian crew skippered by Seve Jarvin, who have set their sights on a podium finish. This year, Team GAC Pindar are competing under a joint Anglo-Aussie flag, with skipper responsibilities shared between Jarvin and British four-time World Match Racing Tour champion, Ian Williams.

Jarvin comments: "It’s incredibly exciting to be named as co-skipper alongside a sailor of Ian’s pedigree. I’m confident the two of us can work together to really push the team on and compete at the top end of the series. We’re looking forward to taking the challenge to the rest of the field in front of a big crowd, surrounded by the magnificent Singapore skyline. We’re expecting light, tricky winds and maybe even a few thunderstorms, so we’ll have to be prepared for anything."

GAC Pindar Principal, Andrew Pindar says, "As the Official Logistics Partner to the Extreme Sailing Series™, we have seen the spectacular growth of the Series first hand. It is clear that catamaran racing is an ever-more important part of the sailing arena."

GAC Group Marketing Director, Sean Bradley adds, "We’re absolutely delighted to be involved with the Extreme Sailing Series once again for the 2015 series. The opportunities that a truly global series like this creates for our company are fantastic, not only for VIP clients around the iconic event locations but also important CSR activities that we link with our local offices and the ESS boat team. Our role as official logistics partner to OC Sport allows us to showcase our expertise and ability around the world."
