No progress has been made towards resolving the strike situation at Gangavaram, and operations at the port are at a standstill. Attempts to negotiate with the protesting employees have yielded no results.
The last vessel waiting at Gangavaram anchorage was diverted to nearby Vizag port to discharge the balance of cargo onboard.
In view of prevailing uncertainties, charterers/owners have diverted their vessels to other ports.
