The Senegalese Government has decided to temporarily close the port of Dakar to passenger vessels.

As part of the effort to fighting COVID-19, some new measures have been introduced, including the indefinite suspension of the vessel linking Dakar to Goree Island, and only Goree island residents being authorized to shuttle back and forth.

The country has also decided to close air borders to a number of countries including Italy, Spain, France, Belgium and Portugal and some other Northern African countries including Tunisia and Algeria.
