Demolition of Raffles Pier at Tuas Bay

The work period for the demolition of Raffles Pier at Tuas Bay has been extended. The work will now be carried out until 15 October.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.78 of 2025, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays and Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°17·755'N / 103°39·401'E
2) 01°17·805'N / 103°39·359'E
3) 01°17·815'N / 103°39·371'E
4) 01°17·857'N / 103°39·336'E
5) 01°17·742'N / 103°39·202'E
6) 01°17·651'N / 103°39·279'E

Demolition works of the pier and mooring arrangements will be carried out with the aid of barges, assisted by tug boats.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
