Taiwan’s Central Epidemic Center has listed below countries for travel notice warning as of 1 March 2020:

  • Level 3 - WARNING: Avoid all unnecessary travel
    China (including Hong Kong and Macao), South Korea, Italy and Iran.
  • Level 2 – ALERT
    Japan, Singapore
  • Level 1 – WATCH

According to harbour immigration policy, no shore pass will be issued for vessels with previous port calls to “country with travel notice level 3” in the previous 14 days.

Foreign crew (excl. China/Hong Kong/ Macau) who are qualified to apply for landing/shore, ship owner or master must provide the documents in advance for crew shore pass application:
a) Port call record for previous 14 days
b) Daily record of crew body temperature (must be approved/stamped by Taiwan Centers for disease control).
c) “Novel Coronavirus prevention Health Declaration Card" - for travel history and health condition

After the vessel berthed, the captain should take the body temperature measurement of the all crews and fill up a health declaration card. The agent will take a review immediately. If there is a check on the suspected symptoms and PRC travel history, should report and notify the Center for Disease Control (CDC) immediately.

In case there is crew with suspicious symptoms of 2019 n-Cov, body temperature exceeding 38°C, should report immediately to the officials. Requesting for entry due to medical attention required, the entry permit allowance will be determined case by case by both the Immigration office and Quarantine officers.

Inbound passengers are required to accurately fill out and submit the health declaration card. Any person who provide inaccurate information, or refuses, evades, obstructs abovementioned measures shall be fined NT$10,000 up to NT$150,000.
