Dubai - Global provider of integrated shipping, logistics and marine services, GAC, has today announced an exciting new addition to its roster of professional golf ambassadors. 2015 Ladies European Tour Players’ Player of the Year, Nicole Broch Larsen has signed a one-year deal with GAC.

Larsen, from Denmark, has had a meteoric rise through the ranks having only graduated onto the Ladies European Tour from the Ladies European Tour Access Series in 2013. The 22 year old finished third in the 2015 order of merit and recorded her maiden European Tour victory at the Helsingborg Open at Vasatorps Golf Club in Sweden.

It was a victory that firmly established her place as one of the most exciting young golfers on the tour, as she led the field from start to finish. That victory resulted in an entry into the Evian Championships a week later, in which she was the top European finishing tied for 11th against a world class field.

GAC has also extended its sponsorship of Welsh golfer Amy Boulden until the end of the 2018 season, following her success throughout 2015.

GAC Group Vice President Commercial, Christer Sjodoff said: “It is thrilling to be able to announce the addition of Nicole to our sponsorship portfolio. She has really proved over the past two years on the European Tour what an incredible talent she is and we have absolutely no doubt that she will be competing right at the very top of the game for years to come.

“We firmly believe that in Nicole and fellow Ladies European Tour golfer Amy Boulden, we have two of the most exciting young golfers in the world and it will be fantastic to watch them develop further over the coming years. Nicole also adds a Scandinavian element to our golf portfolio within a key business region for GAC. The GAC brand will proudly worn by our golfers across the European Tour, US PGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour to reach almost every corner of the globe. We look forward to an exciting 2016 ahead.”

GAC’s roster of golfing ambassadors also includes Englishman Chris Wood and South Africans George Coetzee and Richard Sterne.
