Visa requirement for foreign crew on coastal vessels

From 1 July, foreign crew members of foreign-voyage vessels that are converted to coastal voyage for more than a month at Indian ports must possess valid Employment, Business, or X-Entry Visas, with the name of vessel endorsed thereon.

The present privilege of visa exemption of up to three months will be nullified from 30 June.

Foreign crew members not in possession of a valid Indian visa on board such vessels shall be signed off at Indian ports from 1 July.
