US military transport routed via port

Between 18 October and 20 November 2017, American military supplies and equipment [are being] transported from Germany to the US via the Eindhoven airbase and the port of Rotterdam. The shipments in question concern 60 helicopters, types UH-60 Black Hawk, CH-47 Chinook and AH-64 Apache, as well as some 1,100 vehicles and containers from the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade…

…Over the next few weeks, various units of the Dutch armed forces will be deployed in support of the US troop movements.

Dutch military personnel will be setting up a transhipment location in the port of Rotterdam that includes a landing site for the American helicopters. This section of the port area will be designated a ‘temporary military zone’ and will be guarded around the clock by the Dutch military. The Dutch Ministry of Defence has declined to specify where the equipment will be handled for security reasons.
