Updated port entry procedure

All ships calling at the Port of Duqm are requested through their agent in addition to the standard vessel registration and notification, to submit the IMO Declaration of Health together with the declaration/questionnaire in annex of this document. These documents should be signed by the master of the vessel and send by email to [email protected].

In case of a negative declaration of the master of the vessel (no sickness on board), the vessel will enter the harbor following the standard procedure, pilot and the doctor of MOH (Ministry of Health) will board the vessel at the pilot station.

The doctor of MOH will inspect the vessel prior to any operation, entry or leave to the said vessel.

Once the inspection is finished, operations can start considering all necessary precautionary sanitary measures.

In case of positive declaration of the master, the vessel will not be allowed to enter the port and must go at anchor. The respective sick crew member(s) will be screened by the doctor of MOH and medical team of Port of Duqm.

In case positive to COVID19, the vessel will have to stay in quarantine and the master must follow the instructions of the MOH.

The crew of vessels calling Port of Duqm within a period less than 14 days will remain in quarantine during stay at the port. No shore leaves nor physical interaction with operation workers is allowed.

Agents are requested to follow the guidelines of the Ministry of Health in case of crew change.

Crew shore leave is not allowed.

Port users are requested to avoid physical contact with crew members, to wear masks on board the vessels and use disinfecting product to wash hands after visiting the vessels.

The MOH and HM Office to be contacted in case of any suspicious situation concerning the Corona Virus in the Port area and on board the vessels in within the Port Limits.
