Updated COVID-19 advice

Port of Fujairah requests all port users, shipping agents, suppliers, contractors and visitors to follow the below instruction. This is to ensure the health and safety of your company personnel as well as POF personnel.

  1. All entering POF premise shall ensure that they don’t have any symptoms related to COVID 19 as per the guidelines issues by UAE Health Authorities.
  2. All are advised to follow the precautionary methods to prevent COVID 19 infection and spreading of virus stipulated by UAE Health Authorities.
  3. Ensure appropriate hand wash facilities, access to hand sanitizers and COVID 19 awareness posters are provided.
  4. Ensure periodic sanitisation and disinfection is carried out in your facility and accommodations.
  5. Ensure all employees are provided with face mask and gloves along with other PPE.
  6. Ensure to check the body temperature on daily basis and record it. Social distancing of 2meters need to be followed wherever possible.
  7. Any symptoms of sore throat, fever, breathing difficulties or illness to be reported to the Port Clinic.
  8. If any of your personnel have travelled outside UAE recently, follow 14 days self-quarantine.
  9. If any personnel are tested positive for COVID 19, identify the primary contact and secondary contacts as per the Ministry of Health guidelines and the list need to be provided to POF authorities as early as possible.
  10. The primary and secondary contacts shall be isolated, tested and prohibited from access to port/work for a minimum period of 14 days even if they were tested negative. Test results to be submitted. The request for permission to access the port/work for rest of the employees (who are not in the list of primary and secondary contact) will be considered subject to strict compliance of Health Ministry guidelines and to the satisfaction of Port of Fujairah.
  11. Disinfection to be carried out in all facilities. Disinfection certificates to be provided.
  12. Stay up-to-date with the latest COVID 19 developments and avoid unnecessary meeting with POF staffs.
  13. We encourage to use E-Mail communication/ Voice calls/ Video conferencing etc. , as an alternative for personal meetings.
  14. Do not spread any rumours or false information regarding COVID 19.
  15. You shall not communicate to any one regarding confidential information or developments within POF regarding COVID 19.
  16. Always follow the instruction given by the Health Authorities of UAE.
  17. Remote working is encouraged. Stay Home! Stay Safe!
