Unloading of coal ship unloader

Vessels navigating near the Lamma Power Station should proceed with caution due to an operation to unload a coal ship unloader. The work will continue for approximately one month from May 26.

One crane barge is conducting the work with the assistance of a tugboat and two work boats, but the number of vessels involved will change from time to time to suit operational requirements. Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

There is a working area of approximately 150 metres around the crane barge, with yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights laid to mark the positions of its anchors.

The work is being conducted from 0700 to 1900 hours local time, with no works being carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed in the works stay in the works area outside the hours of work.
