In view of the reduction in the draught at SWB berths due to siltation, the maintenance dredging of these berths (SB-01, SB-02 and SB-03) have been scheduled from today (28 December) from 0700hrs (local time) for a tentative period of four days. According to the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) Terminal authorities, no vessels can be berthed at SWB during the dredging. The berths will be released for normal berthing as soon as the dredging work is completed.
