Tug stoppage averted

In the latest development of the 17 month negotiations between Teekay Shipping and three unions at Port Hedland, the industrial action planned for today (12 November) by the AIMPE union has been suspended, and towage operations are continuing as normal. Meanwhile, negotiations with the MUA and AMOU unions have now concluded, and replacement enterprise agreements will be implemented after approval in accordance with the Fair Work Act.
