Travel health restrictions update

16 Jun 2022 / Bahamas

From Sunday 19 June, the Government of The Bahamas is removing another COVID-19 requirement for international visitors.

The Bahamas Travel Health Visa is no longer required to enter the country. However, testing requirements remain, as follows:

  • Vaccinated travellers, as well as children aged 2-11, may present either a negative RT-PCR test or a Rapid Antigen test taken no more than three days (72 hours) prior to travel.
  • Unvaccinated travellers aged 12 and older must submit a negative RT-PCR test taken no more than three days (72 hours) prior to travel.

Besides having to test negative before flying to the Bahamas, visitors must also follow on-island guidelines for mask wearing and social distancing.
