Traffic restrictions at ports ahead of hurricane

Port Condition Whiskey was set for the Port of Wilmington, NC and Port Condition Zulu for the Port of Morehead City, NC at 1600 local time yesterday (3 July) in preparation of the anticipated impact of Hurricane Arthur. Condition Zulu means all traffic is restricted. Therefore the port of Morehead City is closed to all inbound and outbound traffic, and no vessel may enter, depart or transit the safety zone without the permission of the Captain of the Port. Vessels bound for Wilmington and Morehead City are advised to seek an alternative destination. For information about operations in the USA contact GAC USA at [email protected]
