30 Jan 2026 / Yemen
The Yemeni Ministry of Transport has released a circular dated 30 January 2026 outlining new mandatory procedures for all vessels calling at Yemeni ports.
According to the directive, shipping companies must apply for entry permits immediately upon a vessel’s departure from its last port of call and ensure that AIS tracking systems remain active throughout the voyage. Ships are required to respond without delay to any requests from Coalition naval forces operating in the region.
No vessel will be allowed to enter Yemeni ports without prior approval from the Coalition Command.
The circular also reiterates the requirement for importing companies to obtain advance authorization for the import of restricted or controlled materials, warning that cargo lacking proper approvals will not be cleared.
These measures form part of the government’s ongoing coordination with Coalition authorities to regulate maritime traffic and enhance security in Yemeni waters.
