The eyesight test service provided by the Seafarers' Certification Section of the Marine Department will be terminated after 31 December 2014. After that day applicants for Coxswain's Certificate and Pleasure Vessel Operator' Certificates of any grade (including revalidation and replacement) should approach a registered medical practitioner or registered optometrist for the required eyesight test and the test certificate.
