Essidra Terminal was closed at 09:00 hours local time today (13 September), and berthing of tankers had been suspended.
This is due to protests by local people requesting jobs and benefits from the oil & gas companies operating the terminal.
Meanwhile, Ras Lanouf Terminal is still operating but gate is closed.
