Temporary restrictions on entry of travelers

Following up on the dynamics of the COVID-19 pandemic reported by the World Health Organisation in India, Indonesia’s Directorate General of Immigration has announced the following in effect from 24 April:

To prevent Imported Case Covid-19, Immigration Officials at Immigration Checkpoints will refuse entry to foreigners who have a history of travel from India within 14 (fourteen) days before entering Indonesian territory.

Granting a visit visa and a limited stay visa for Indian citizens is temporarily suspended.

For Indonesian citizens who have a history of travel from India within 14 (fourteen) days before entering Indonesian territory can only enter through:
a. Immigration Checkpoints Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang;
b. Immigration Checkpoints Juanda Airport in Surabaya;
c. Immigration Checkpoints Kualanamu Airport in Medan;
d. Immigration Checkpoints Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado;
e. Immigration Checkpoints Batam Centre Seaport in Batam;
f. Immigration Checkpoints Sri Bintan Pura Seaport in Tanjung Pinang; and
g. Immigration Checkpoints Dumai Seaport in Dumai
