Temporary loading & unloading facilities for Tung Chung New Town Extension Project

Three temporary loading and unloading facilities have been established off Pak Mong, Lantau Island. The temporary loading and unloading facilities will operate for a period of approximately 38 months.

One crane barge, three dumb lighters and two tugboats will berth at the facilities within the following operation areas for loading and unloading operation:

OPERATION AREA 1
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22° 18.038’N 113° 57.107’E
(B) 22° 18.092’N 113° 57.047’E
(C) 22° 18.291’N 113° 57.249’E
(D) 22° 18.235’N 113° 57.312’E

OPERATION AREA 2
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (E) to (F) and the adjacent shoreline:
(E) 22° 18.247’N 113° 57.350’E
(F) 22° 18.310’N 113° 57.393’E

OPERATION AREA 3
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (G) to (J) and the adjacent shoreline:
(G) 22° 18.160’N 113° 57.947’E
(H) 22° 18.183’N 113° 58.034’E
(I) 22° 18.008’N 113° 58.119’E
(J) 22° 17.983’N 113° 58.023’E

The hours of operation will be from 0700 to 2300 hours daily. Vessels engaged in the operation will stay in the operation areas outside the hours of operation.
