19 Oct 2016 / Panama Canal, Panama
As water levels of Gatun and Alajuela Lakes have reached normal levels for this time of year, the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) announces that, effective immediately. The water conservation measures announced in Advisory to Shipping A-19-2015, and implemented since July 20, 2015, are hereby suspended.
The ACP will continue to monitor the level of Gatun Lake during the remainder of the rainy season, and may take necessary actions to minimize the possibility of imposing draft restrictions during the upcoming dry season.
