Suspension of port marine operations

Due to adverse weather and/or sea conditions, marine operations have been suspended at RAK Maritime City / Stevin Rock Harbour / Saqr Port from 05:00 local time this morning (30 December).

According to the RAK Ports Notice No. 20 of 2025, this may affect arrivals or departures.

The Marine Department will continually assess conditions and re-establish normal operations at the earliest possible timing.

Weather parameters that influence and result in suspension of port marine operations across RAK Ports during adverse weather conditions generally are wind strength and direction, wave height/swell and visibility. These factors establish and apply according to each port location and considering their specific characteristics and the vessels calling at the particular location.

A Suspension Notification will be followed by a Resumption Notification when all restrictions have been removed. Please note operations may be gradually restarted at individual locations as the conditions improve.

RAK Ports accepts no responsibility for any financial or operational losses due to the suspension of the marine operations. We thank all stakeholders for the continuous efforts in ensuring that RAK Ports Marine and Port Operations remain uninterrupted and efficient.

Usage of the DUKC system was temporarily suspended from 0500 hours on 30 December, due to the bad weather. Use of the system will again be acceptable DUKC system is acceptable from 1200 hours on 31 December.
