Suez Canal Surcharges update

The Suez Canal Authority has announced that surcharges levied on vessels transiting the Canal will increase from July 15, 2026.

According to the Authority's Periodicals issued on June 7, 2026, this applies to:

  • Tankers (Crude oil)
  • Tankers (Petroleum products)
  • Dry Bulk Carriers
  • LPG Carriers
  • LNG Carrier
  • Chemical & Other Liquid Bulk Carriers
  • Container ships
  • General Cargo Ships, Multi-Purpose Ships, Heavy Lift Ships, General Cargo Heavy Lift Ships, Multi-Purpose/Heavy Lift Ships
  • Ro/Ro Ships
  • Vehicle Carriers
  • Special Floating Units
  • Other vessels

The current surcharges, applied since April 2023, remain valid till July 14, 2026.
