Supply and delivery of sand at Changi East Deposition Area

The working period for the supply and delivery of sand at Changi East Deposition Area has been extended until 12 October.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.30 of 2024, the work is being conducted - 24 hours daily including Sundays & Public Holidays - north of Johor Shoal, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

4) 01°20·225'N / 104°02·146'E
5) 01°20·308'N / 104°02·331'E
6) 01°20·307'N / 104°02·720'E
7) 01°20·089'N / 104°02·908'E
8) 01°20·048'N / 104°02·875'E
9) 01°20·016'N / 104°02·918'E
10) 01°20·057'N / 104°02·952'E
11) 01°19·445'N / 104°03·505'E
12) 01°19·435'N / 104°03·484'E
13) 01°19·447'N / 104°02·488'E

The works involve discharging of sand by Self-Discharging Sand Carriers (SDSC) and Trailer Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD) at Changi East Deposition Area (CEDA). Soil Investigation work is being carried out by Jack -up barge assisted by tug boat.

A safety boat is deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
