20 Mar 2017 / Dammam, Saudi Arabia
Dammam Port is experiencing seasonal rains and strong wind since yesterday (19 March), leading to port temporary closure and suspension of vessels movements into and out of berths.
The closure is slightly affecting berthing schedules of vessels. Ships are to wait for few hours until weather improves and wind subsides allowing safe docking and sailing of ships.
Weather forecasts indicate the port will have time to time closures for the rest of the week. The waiting hours for docking/undocking most often do not exceed 5 hours. Slight docking delays are expected.
