Strike action at Patrick Terminals

At 07.00 hours local time today (19 April), employees at the Brisbane Autostrad Terminal began a 48-hour strike. This follows recent negotiations between Patrick Terminals and the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) about a new Enterprise Agreement.

Below are details of the MUA’s notified stoppages:

BRISBANE AUTOSTRAD TERMINAL:
48-hour strike, from 07.00 hours on Tue April 19 to 07.00 hours on Thu April 21

EAST SWANSON DOCK TERMINAL:
48-hour strike, from 07.00 hours on Thu April 21 to 07.00 hours on Sat April 23.

In response, Patrick Terminals has offered its employees the opportunity to vote directly on the company’s proposed Enterprise Agreement. The Employee Vote will run from May 4 to May 9, and will be run by Elections Australia Pty Ltd.
