Storm delays clearing of strike backlog

A storm at sea has delayed the clearance of the backlog of ships waiting to be handled at Belgian ports after the national strike yesterday (12 March).

All services at the ports are operational today. The wind is expected to decrease from midday, enabling operations to service waiting vessels.

At Antwerp, all locks (except those under scheduled maintenance) and tug services are operating, as is the entire nautical chain.

Zeebrugge and Ghent are fully operational.
