State Port Authority tariff increases

Alabama State Port Authority has announced a 3% increase its Terminal Railway Tariff, General Cargo & Intermodal and Bulk tariffs. This follows the decision last year to forego any increase due to the market conditions at the time.

Terminal Railway Tariff:
All Tariff items will be increased by 3% except the following items:

Items referenced below will remain the same
- Page 12, Item 390-E - $500 Excessive dimensional cargo switching
- Page 16, Item 510-F- $450 Switching Refrigerated Cars to the Rip track
- Page 17, Item 680 - $100 Personnel Services
- Page 17, Item 700 - $5,000 Improperly loaded hazmat cars presenting problems
- Page 17, Item 710 - $300 McDuffie stripe alignment

General Cargo & Intermodal Tariff:
All Tariff charges will increase by 3% except:

- Security fees will increase to new Gulf Seaport Marine Terminal Conference rates:

Vessels & Barges
- 9.53% of total dockage per port call (+ 5.89%)

Cargo
- Break bulk: $0.20 cents per ton (+ 5%)
- Dry bulk: $0.046 cents per ton (+ 15%)
- Liquid bulk: $0.046 cents per ton (+ 15%)
- Containers: $4.21 per box (+ 6%)
- Vehicles: $1.00 per vehicle
- Passengers: $1.00 per passenger

- No Increase in Storage and Demurrage, Minimum Invoice, Truck Weighing, Coil Drayage and Overtime Rates.
- Gottwald rental will increase by 10%.
- Aluminum will Increase by 6%.
- Iron & Steel will Increase by 6% except for Steel Coils. Steel Coils will increase 3%
- Loose Woodpulp will Increase by 6%.
- No Increase in Dockage at the Grain Elevator Berth.
- All vessel Dockage will increase by 6% to the New Gulf Seaport Marine Terminal Conference rates.

Bulk Tariff:
All Tariff charges will increase by 3% except:
- Security fees will increase to new Gulf Seaport Marine Terminal Conference rates:

Vessels & Barges
- 9.53% of total dockage per port call (+ 5.89%)

Cargo
- Break bulk: $0.20 cents per ton (+ 5%)
