Jamnagar Immigration has advised that only Indian crew members can sign on/off at the Sikki Sea Check Post. Signing-on/-off of foreign crew members is not authorised.
If any foreign crew member has to go ashore due to illness or any other reason, ship crew members at this non-authorised check post may be granted short-term permission up to 12 hours with approval from Foreigners Regional Registration Office/Officer.
Further, if any member of the ship falls ill, a Temporary Landing Permit can be obtained for a period of up to 15 days from approval.
In all cases, the foreign crew members must have a valid national passport or other internationally recognised travel document.
