Shore protection works near Senoko fishery port

From 1 June to 30 October, shore protection works will be carried out in the East Johor Strait near Senoko fishery port.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore’s Port Marine Notice No.054 of 2018, the work will be carried out 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1. 1 deg. 27.544'N / 103 deg. 47.183'E
2. 1 deg. 27.514'N / 103 deg. 47.233’E
3. 1 deg. 27.573'N / 103 deg. 47.247'E
4. 1 deg. 27.549'N / 103 deg. 47.200'E

The works will involve the construction of outfall and revetment structures. Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
