Sediment sampling along Castle Peak Fairway & Urmston Road Fairway

For approximately two months, sediment sampling works will be carried out within the following works areas:

WORKS AREA 1
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (E) and the adjacent jetty:

WORKS AREA 2

WORKS AREA 4
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (Y) to (AB):

(Z) 22° 20.700’N 113° 57.144’E
(AA) 22° 20.647’N 113° 57.131’E
(AB) 22° 20.780’N 113° 56.504’E

The works will be carried out by one work boat. One guard boat will provide assistance.

Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

A working area of approximately 30 metres around the work boat will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the work boat.

The hours of work will be from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will not stay in the works areas outside the hours of work.
