The Sri Lanka Navy will conduct a Sea Firing Exercise off the west coast of the country between 0800 and 1700 hours local time on Friday 24 April.
The exercise will be conducted in the VCD II area, with the following coordinates:
07° 19’ N / 79° 10’E
07° 16’N / 79° 30’E
07° 06’N / 79° 30’E
07° 03’N / 79° 10’E
Surface clearance required (safety margin): 5 NM.
All merchant vessels, tender boats, tugs, fishing boats and other vessels anchored or operating in the above sea area should keep well clear until completion of the Naval Exercise.
