Salvage works off Tuas West Coast

Work to salvage a dredger off Tuas West Coast is being conducted until 7 February.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.20 of 2026, the work is being carried out between 0000 and 2359 hours local time daily - including Sundays and public holidays – at sea within the area bounded by the following coordinates:
1) 01⁰ 18.198’N / 103⁰ 37.030’E
2) 01⁰ 18.038’N / 103⁰ 37.123’E
3) 01⁰ 17.980’N / 103⁰ 37.022’E
4) 01⁰ 18.110’N / 103⁰ 36.911’E

Salvage operations will be carried out in the working area by the crane barge, held in place by 4 anchors. All vessels are requested to keep a minimum safety distance of 50m from the working area. A safety boat will be deployed in the area to warn traffic in the vicinity.

Craft involved in the work exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not enter the exercise area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control); and communicate with Jurong Control for assistance, if required.
