A rowing event between Hong Kong and Macau will take place on 18 August 2017 (Friday) and 19 August 2017 (Saturday). About 20 rowing boats and 4 supporting yachts are expected to participate in the event.
The event will start at Ma Wan Chung Pier, Lantau Island at 1400 hours on 18 August 2017, through northwest of Sha Lo Wan, thence to Tai O, Lantau Island. The outbound trip will start at Tai O at 0800 hours on 19 August 2017 and thence to Hac Sa Beach, Coloane, Macau.
Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution, giving practical consideration to the participants. Compliance with the provisions of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972 is mandatory….
….In the event of inclement weather, the event may be postponed to the fallback dates of 25 August 2017 and 26 August 2017 with the same time sequence as aforementioned.
