The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency has advised that the Marine Environmental Management Sea Protection Levy will be changed with effect from 1 July 2014. The new schedule for calculating the levy is as follows: FOREIGN VESSELS 100-1000MT - Current rate per call: $0.10/GT - New rate per call: $0.15/GT 1001-10000MT - Current rate per call: $0.15/GT - New rate per call: $0.25/GT 10001-10000MT - Current rate per call: $0.20/GT - New rate per call: $0.30/GT 100000MT & ABOVE - Current rate per call: $0.30/GT - New rate per call: $0.30/GT NIGERIAN VESSELS 100-1000MT - Levy per annum: N500.00/GT 1001-10000MT - Levy per annum: N350.00/GT 10001-10000MT - Levy per annum: N300.00/GT 100000MT & ABOVE - Levy per annum: N250.00/GT For information about operations in Nigeria contact GAC Nigeria at [email protected]
