Restrictions on crew movement

20 Mar 2020 / Canada (Atlantic Region)

Although the Port of Quebec has relaxed its previous restriction on shore leave for crew members, it has implemented a new procedure under which the ship's agent must provide the harbour master's office with advance notice of all crew members wishing to leave the vessel for any reason other than loading or unloading operations or similar activities. The port also requires vessels to report on the health status of their crew 96 and 24 hours prior to arrival.

Meanwhile, the Port of Saguenay has issued a notice banning shore leave for ship's crews, effective immediately.
