Restricted service at coal terminal

Due to the commissioning of a newly installed reclaimer, there will be restricted service at Port Kembla Coal Terminal (PKCT) until 11 May.

The terminal is currently under maintenance shut-down until 1900 hours local time on Saturday 21 April. When the terminal resumes operations, the newly installed reclaimer will be commissioned with following restrictions from 21 April to 11 May:
- Vessels will be loaded by RC3 only between the hours of 6am to 8pm from Monday through Saturday.
- No use of RC3 loading outside of these hours.
- No use of RC1 during or outside of these hours.

The need to load vessels outside of the above strategy will be considered by exception only and will only occur upon approval by the Operations Manager. Such decision will be made taking into consideration commissioning progress and potential impacts to our customers like demurrage, stockyard capacity etc. PKCT will continue to stay engaged with its customers to minimise operational impacts to our customers and we have encouraged customers to discuss with PKCT Operations Planning where issues arise.
