Victoria Harbour restrictions and sea parade for HKSAR Anniversary Celebrations

Marine traffic measures will be implemented in Victoria Harbour on June 30 and July 1, 2026, for the 29th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Masters, coxswains, and persons in charge of all vessels navigating in the vicinity are advised to proceed with caution and give the parade fleet a wide berth.

June 30, 2026

  • 08:45–09:45 – Rehearsal for the sea parade along the route from Causeway Bay to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
  • 15:00 – A restricted area comes into effect in Victoria Harbour off the HKCEC as part of the security and public safety arrangements. The HKCEC Landing (HP080) and Wan Chai Bypass Landing No. 4 (HP161) will be closed. Owners and coxswains of vessels are advised to use other landing steps in the vicinity.

July 1, 2026

  • 07:45–08:05 – Sea parade of disciplinary services launches from Causeway Bay to the HKCEC.
  • 08:00 – Water jet display off the HKCEC and flag-raising ceremony at Golden Bauhinia Square outside the HKCEC.
  • 10:00 – The restricted area is lifted, and the landing steps will reopen.

The restricted area will be bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84):

(A) Latitude 22°16.965'N | Longitude 114°10.170'E

(B) Latitude 22°17.200'N | Longitude 114°10.229'E

(C) Latitude 22°17.200'N | Longitude 114°10.556'E

(D) Latitude 22°16.982'N | Longitude 114°10.587'E

Two yellow marker buoys fitted with flashing yellow lights will be placed at coordinates (B) and (C) to mark the northern boundary of the restricted area. Marine Police launches will be stationed or will patrol in the vicinity. Only government launches and franchised ferries will be permitted to enter or remain within the restricted area.
