Official institutions and banks in Turkey will be closed for the Replublic Day public holiday on Wednesday 29 October. All arrangements for crew, spare, provision, etc. should be made/advised in good time ahead of the holiday. Some ports may be closed on Republic Day and the charge for official services such as pilotage, mooring, customs, etc. will be increased by 50%. Vessel owners and operators are therefore urged to check with GAC Turkey prior calling any Turkish Port. GAC Istanbul will be on duty during the holiday.
