The Panama Canal Authority has initiated the replacement of the Electronic Data Collection System (EDCS) with the 'Maritime Service Portal', to progressively include additional functionality and long-term improvements. The Maritime Service Portal is due to go partially live on 5 February, and is scheduled for full implementation in March 2015.
