Repairs for landing steps at Kennedy Town

For approximately one month, repair works for landing steps at Kennedy Town will be carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22° 17.079'N / 114° 07.697'E
(B) 22° 17.086'N / 114° 07.690'E
(C) 22° 17.097'N / 114° 07.702'E
(D) 22° 17.090'N / 114° 07.710'E

During the period of works, the works area and Western PCWA Landing No. 1 (Marine Structure No. HP057) will be occupied and temporarily closed to marine traffic for the works.

The works will be carried out by one crane boat. Vessel engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

A working area of approximately 25 metres around the crane boat will be established.

A silt curtain which is a large piece of netting to contain mud and sediments extending from the sea surface to the seabed will be established within the works area. Yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the extent of the silt curtain.

The hours of work will be from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessel employed for the works will not stay in the works area outside the hours of work.
