Repair works on floating sea barrier off Sentosa

Repairs are being carried out on a floating sea barrier off Sentosa until 30 November.

As advised in the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.076 of 2022, the works are being conducted from 0800 to 1900, including Sundays, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1 01° 14.671'N / 103° 49.449'E
2 01° 14.604'N / 103° 49.374'E
3 01° 14.290'N / 103° 49.719’E
4 01° 14.357'N / 103° 49.795’E

The repair works on the floating sea barrier will be carried out by divers and assisted by crane barge and tug boats.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area during the dredging operations.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 68 for assistance, if required.
