The working period has been extended for repairs to damaged revetments off PA-Water Venture Sembawang.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.027 of 2019 dated 6 March 2019, the work will now be carried out from 0800 to 1800 hours daily from Monday to Saturday, except public holidays, from today (6 March) to 5 September within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (see attached chartlet):
1) 01 deg. 27·602'N / 103 deg. 50·640'E
2) 01 deg. 27·573'N / 103 deg. 50·672'E
3) 01 deg. 27·561'N / 103 deg. 50·661'E
4) 01 deg. 27·589'N / 103 deg. 50·629'E
A work barge, assisted by tug boats, will be used to repair the damaged revetment structures.
Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
