From today (22 November 2018) through to 28 February 2019, work is underway to repair damaged revetments off PA-Water-Venture Sembawang Centre.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.117 of 2018, the work is being conducted from 0800 to 1800 hours local time daily from Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01 deg. 27·602'N / 103 deg. 50·640'E
2) 01 deg. 27·573'N / 103 deg. 50·672'E
3) 01 deg. 27·561'N / 103 deg. 50·661'E
4) 01 deg. 27·589'N / 103 deg. 50·629'E
A work barge, assisted by tug boats will be used to repair the damaged revetment structures. Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
