Kiel-Canal Authority have announced that the long term maintenance works to one Big New Lock in Brunsbuettel is completed.
With immediate effect all four Big New Locks in Kiel and Brunsbuettel are fully operational and all west and eastbound transits will be handled without allocation delays.
The mandatory tug assistance for safe mooring in the locks is cancelled and no longer in use.
