Reinstatement works at Aster Single Buoy Mooring

From 5 January to 28 February 2026, reinstatement works will be carried out at Aster Single Buoy Mooring (SBM).

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.167 of 2025, the works will be conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays & public holidays - at sea, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°11.463’N / 103°47.427’E
with a working area radius 675m from center of point 1.

The SBM Reinstatement works will involve mooring chain installation, SBM connection, ROV and Diving works.

There will be up to six (6) vessels operating within the SBM 800m exclusion zone area.

Diving work will take place at various locations within the work area, primarily at the SBM Buoy location: 1° 11.463” N, 103° 47.427” E.

Safety boats will attend all times to warn and direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with West control for assistance, if required.
