Reinstatement works at Aster Single Buoy Mooring

The working period for SBM reinstatement works at Aster Single Buoy Mooring (SBM) has been extended. The work will now continue until November 30, 2026.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.75 of 2026, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays and public holidays - at sea, within a 675m working area radius centred at 01°11.463’N / 103°47.427’E.

The works involve vessel activities at SBM Buoy for supporting hydrotesting, diving Inspection & surveying works on the SBM system at the seabed PLEM structure. Up to 5 vessels are operating within the SBM 675m exclusion zone area.

Diving work is being conducted at various locations within the work area, primarily at the SBM Buoy location.

Safety boats will attend all times to warn and direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of the working area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with West control for assistance, if required.
