Reinforced concrete, structural steel and ancillary works at Changi East

The working period for reinforced concrete, structural steel and ancillary works at Changi East has been extended.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.149 of 2025, the works will be conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays – from 30 November to 30 May 2026, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

Work Area A
1) 01°18.607'N / 104°00.577'E
2) 01°18.573'N / 104°00.650'E
3) 01°18.526'N / 104°00.628'E

Work Area B
4) 01°18.586'N / 104°00.565'E
5) 01°18.503'N / 104°00.617'E
6) 01°18.450'N / 104°00.592'E
7) 01°18.494'N / 104°00.517'E

Flat top barges will be used for the delivery of materials from port to work site, berthed alongside with crane barge.

Crane barge will be used to hoist the piling machine and drive the permanent piles into the seabed. All piling materials will be delivered by sea to the site and lifted by crane barge onto the work barge for installation.

Access to barges will be through the existing ramp/temporary jetty to the working area by passenger/working boat.

All the temporary work to be removed and cleared from site upon works completion.

Craft involved in the work will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 12 (East Control);
and
e) Communicate with East Control on VHF Channel 12 for assistance, if required.
